Advanced Cardiac Life Support

American Safety & Health Institute's Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) program was created to train emergency personnel to recognize cardiopulmonary emergencies (including cardiac arrest and peri-arrest conditions) and other medical conditions that require rapid initial emergency care. Program covers the initial actions of an emergency response team, evaluating airway management, dysrhythmia recognition, electrical interventions, and pharmacologic interventions.

Intended Audience

Emergency personnel in intensive care or critical care departments and emergency medical providers.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support

American Safety & Health Institute's Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) program was created to provide healthcare professionals with training in the recognition and treatment of conditions that may lead to cardiopulmonary arrest in an infant or child.

Emergency personnel in intensive care or critical care departments and emergency medical providers.

CPR PRO

Students learn how to recognize a life-threating emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI's CPR Pro for the professional Rescuer has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Service personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

Intended Audience

American Safety & Health Institutes CPR for the Professional Rescuer program is designed for individuals in the healthcare of professional rescuer field that are required to have a professional-level basic life support training

ASHI CPR and AED is a combined CPR and AED program designed specifically for laypeople. The program is an excellent choice for both the community an dworplace setting, and is based upon the 2010 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR) and other evidence-based treatment recommendations.

Basic First Aid

ASHI Basic First Aid was created to help students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is consistent with recommendations of the 2010 National First Aid Science Advisory Board and OSHA's best practices for first aid training programs in the workplace.

Emergency Oxygen

The Emergency Oxygen administration program is a critical step in treating a severe of life-threatening illness or injury. Serious and life-threating medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.

Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban or suburban environment. With ASHI's Wilderness First Aid, you will prepare yourself for potential emergencies while enjoying the outdoors. This comprehensive 16-20 hour course meets the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid curriculum and guidelines.

OSHA- Blood Borne Pathogens

This program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are an dhow risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the I.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1920.1030)

Course Content Includes

Any individual or employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties.
